Our Mission Statement:
Our mission is to provide a positive, supportive environment where students, parents, and teachers
can work together to help “The Little School with the BIG Heart” achieve success by reaching our
fullest potential in order to meet the challenges of today and tomorrow.

Father James B. Hay School depends heavily on the involvement by families with their students to
accomplish and bring to fruition the many facets of a successful Catholic school program. This
relationship is further accomplished through our 40-service hour requirement. The Home and
School Association is an established partner in this relationship and serves as a vehicle through
which families may work to satisfy their service hour requirement. The Home and School
Association is much more than simply putting in volunteer time, we serve the school in many other
ways as well:

    >        We assist our students in making a productive transition from home to school
    >        We support the educational mission of Father James B. Hay School.
    >        We help supplement the school's budget through fund-raising activities.
    >        We help empower our students to be productive, contributing community members.
    >        We work together to set a good example for our children.

We serve a vital function for the school's administration by providing a means through which
resources may be identified, channeled and appropriated. As school needs are noted, committees
are formed to work in designated areas.
